Wood fired teaware
Each pot is unique, just like a painting. When creating a painting, the artist first paints the base colors. In wood firing the the potter controls the temperature and atmosphere in the kiln. This affects the color and texture of the clay. During the first few days of firing the base is established. Over a period of many days the potter continues to control the firing, layers of ash build, further adding texture and color to the wares in the kiln.
